Walnuts, chopped (optional)

Cream together the butter and sugar. Mix in Egg and Vanilla. Add Salt, Flour, Baking Soda and Oats and Nuts. Place in a greased 9x13 inch baking pan. Bake in a 350° for 20 minutes.
